Belts that are exposed to high temperature need to be manufactured in a special way as to resist the cracking, hardening, abrasion, tearing, and flexing. DERBY heat-resistant belts are designed to stay unaffected at high temperatures. Less cracking and hardening results in longer lifetime and fewer replacement for customers. Different grades of high-performance belts are offered based on the belt surface temperature:
T1 For applications with maximum belt surface temperature 125-degree celsius
T2 For applications with maximum belt surface temperature 150-degree celsius
T3 For applications with maximum belt surface temperature 175-degree celsius
- ** There is a critical distinction between material temperature and belt surface temperature. Belt surface temperature is defined as the temperature transmitted to the belt cover. In consideration of the belt cooling during the return line, belt surface temperature is always much cooler than the material’s own temperature.
